Cut Steel Beaded Bag, 1910’s

This beautiful handmade beaded bag would have taken months to make.  It features a tastefully ornate silver tone frame, with a unique 4 piece hinged design. The lining is in excellent condition, and is made of a matte grey fabric (perhaps a newer addition).  The beading has been reattached to the frame with a skillful repair.  The clasp features three clear blue stones, and is in a serpentine/heart shape, that still closes firmly.  All beads on the body of the bag are in tact, and fine at 16 beads/inch. There are two loops on the fringe missing, but as they are symmetric, this does not detract from the appearance.  The bag is 6.5″ x 10.5″ (15.8 oz).
